Growth Track
Our Mission
Our mission is to bring God and people together. This is why we do what we do. It is what, in the end, we want to be remembered for. To accomplish this mission, we have established three large goals or functions.
- Reaching People. We want to expand the presence of the kingdom so that the name of the Lord Jesus will be magnified and his word will grow mightily and prevail in the city (Acts 19).
- Making Disciples. We want to be a Great Commission church that is on the move, making disciples of the entire region, and equipping every believer in covenant with our fellowship for Kingdom service (Matthew 29; Ephesians 4).
- Building Community. We want to connect people relationally in life-changing small groups (four to ten individuals) to grow in Christ-likeness, to build biblical community, and to work for the kingdom (Acts 2).
Our Growth Track offers a path for you to make this happen in your life. From your initial decision to accept Jesus Christ as the Lord of your life to your final destination of being involved in life-changing ministry, we will lead you step-by-step through the healing, training, and finally becoming a leader.
- Newcomer's Reception. Each month our lead pastor, Tim Triplett, and his wife, Suzan, host an informal introduction to Rock Chapel. If you are new to the church, this is the best place to start getting connected. It's a time to get acquainted with a few church ministry leaders and to have a time for questions and answers.
- Small Groups. We don't want to say that Rock Chapel has small groups, but that Rock Chapel is a church of small groups doing life together in the marketplace, outside the four walls of the church. To be effective and authentic in the 21st century we need functional structures that help us love God and love others. It takes a biblical community for you to be all that you were meant to be. At Rock Chapel, we are developing a transformational model for doing life together in biblical community that makes church better than you've ever dreamed it could be. You don't have to be a member to be a part of a small group. This is the next big thing you need to do to get connected at Rock Chapel: join a small group.
- Water Baptism. Several times throughout the year, we gather together for Water Baptism. These are special times when new believers can publicly proclaim their newfound faith by following the example of Jesus in water baptism.
- CLASS 101 Membership. This is a three-hour class, taught by our lead pastor, Tim Triplett. It is a basic introduction to the ministry of Rock Chapel. It will help you to understand what's involved with church membership. Topics covered include Rock Chapel's origins, basic beliefs, and governmental structure. CLASS 101 Membership is offered every other month on Sunday evenings.
- Encounter Retreats. Time apart encounter weekends are designed as a special time for you to get away from the normal routine and spend time in the life-changing presence of God. These retreats are designed to help you find freedom from the past, healing for today, and the promise of abundant living for tomorrow. Two Encounter Retreats are offered in the spring and fall of the year.
- CLASS 201 Maturity. This is a three-hour class designed to guide you through the core competencies of a fully-developing follower of Christ. It is a course developed specifically to help you find success in your walk with Christ. CLASS 201 Maturity is offered every other month on Sunday evenings, or through a Small Group as an independent study.
- CLASS 301 Ministry. This is a one-of-a-kind discovery seminar developed to help you realize your unique spiritual giftings. Using an assessment tool called SHAPE, you can discover how God has shaped you for ministry. CLASS 301 Ministry is offered every other month on Sunday evenings.
- CLASS 401 Mission. The goal of CLASS 401 is to move you from having an inward focus of personal growth to an outward focus of leadership, ministry, and purpose. The class is designed to help you develop your leadership gifts for ministry. This class is offered every other month on Sunday evenings.
- Champion's Banquet. Having successfully completed your growth tract, you are ready for the prize: the Champion's Banquet. New leaders are invited to this banquet that is put together in your honor where Rock Chapel leaders lay hands on you and release you into your area of ministry.
Rock Chapel exists to develop leaders for ministry. After you complete your growth track, you are ready to begin your new ministry, whether it be starting new small groups or starting new churches or starting new missions, this is a ministry that is expanding on it's base of leaders.
